Brita Addams

Whiskey Dreams - Ranae Rose I wanted to like it more, but two things kept it from happening. There was a lot of angst over a kiss, almost to the point of annoyance. It didn't feel realistic that a guy would spend much of the story worrying about whether the guy he kissed would be upset about it in retrospect.

Also, it didn't give me enough of an historical sense. I never got the feeling they were in the late 1700's, which for someone like me, is important, if the book is supposed to be historical. There was no language adjustment to account for the time period, and aside from a few--very few--historical references, it could have taken place anytime, which was disappointing for me.
